Tips For Driving Your RC Car

There are two types of practice you will want to do when you make the jump from electric RC vehicles to nitro. You will want to practice driving in two forums for on-road RC vehicles. Your basic street or parking lot and your local RC race track.

If you have an on-road car, one way to practice is to bring some road cones or some people even use phone books as obstacles to go around. Don’t use bricks or other hard objects as when you’re learning to control your rc car you don’t want to practice with anything that can damage your RC car or truck.

Should your RC vehicle be an off-road type such as the Nitro ATV or other fun machine, you can practice driving your RC car at a local baseball field or soccer field will have good flat surfaces with a few obstacles to cross over and test your navigation skills.

When you’re practicing with your on-road vehicle at the parking lot or track, make a mental note of the area where you should start braking to make your turns. This will help you learn where your RC car needs to begin the slow down for a turn and this will enable you to be a better racer.

Practice straightaways at the racing course. It takes practice to stay on course and learning to correct if your vehicle veers to the right or the left. Start slow, and go as many laps and you can without a crash. Driving slower will allow you to learn the nuances of your vehicle so you can stay on the track and learn to get close in to the corners.
