Exclusive summary about RC Cars History by Keith Londrie

RC cars history. The innovations in the radio control system and in the model’s architecture, made them stronger, faster and easier to control.

Small nitro methane engines were available from the 40’s. In the mid ’66 El-Gi, (Elettronica Giocattoli) from Italy, released the first fully RC model. By the beginning of the 70’s a British company, called Mardave, began manufacturing RC models. They sold commercial models all over the UK.

In the early 70’s several US companies began producing models. US company Jerobee created in ’74 the 1/12 nitro Cox engine car. Afterwards, Jerobee became Jomac and started manufacturing electric models.

Tamiya, a renowned company from Japan, entered the world of radio-controlled cars. In 1980, Schumacher Racing UK was the first company to release the ball differential technology. In 1987 the model won the international RC championship, being considered one of the best off-road buggies of that time.

Radio Controlled Devices – Their History Revealed

Exclusive summary about Radio Controlled Device History by Abhishek Agarwal

Building, modifying and driving radio controlled vehicles is a favorite pastime of radio control enthusiasts. Remote or radio controlled devices are controlled from a remote distance. Remote controlled devices are also known commonly as RC devices- RC meaning radio controlled. Radio controlled devices need a control transmitter, a throttle trigger and wheels for turning, while the receiver is located in the body of the toy. Electrical speed control is used in electrical models, whereas radio control mechanisms are used in fuel control systems to regulate the fuel input.

Hobby grade radio controlled devices are more serviceable and durable, but are very expensive. Radio control technology is combined with robotics to create various devices used in international robotics contests held in Japan.
